SHBBSKT010 - Provide Skin Needling Treatments describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to provide a skin needling treatment to improve the appearance of skin. It requires the ability to determine suitability of clients for treatment, safely apply skin needling technology up to 1.0mm, monitor and modify treatment and maintain infection control standards.

The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.

The supply of topical anaesthetics is restricted in some states or territories.

No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

PRE-REQUISITE UNIT

  • HLTINF005 – Maintain infection prevention for skin penetration treatment - or
  • SHBBINF002 - Maintain infection control standards

WHO SHOULD COMPLETE THE COURSE

Skin therapists with knowledge of skin biology and skill in providing skin therapies. They provide treatments in skin or beauty therapy clinics according to legislative requirements and organisational policies and procedures

On completion of ALL assessment tasks to a competent standard you will receive a -

  • Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment - SHBBSKT010 - Provide Skin Needling Treatments

These units equip you with the skills and knowledge required to deliver effective Skin Needling treatments while ensuring stringent infection control measures. Our face-to-face classroom training, complemented by online theory sessions via MOODLE, offers a comprehensive learning experience. You'll be guided by highly qualified beauty therapists with years of industry experience, ensuring you receive top-notch training.

Dermaskin Training will assist you in every way they can to ensure you perform to the best of your ability and successfully complete your chosen training course.

Dermaskin Training, is however, unable to guarantee you will be issued with a certificate of completion nor obtain a particular employment outcome.

COURSE DURATION

Course is expected to be completed within 6 weeks maximum, but can be adjusted according to individual needs.

  • One full day practical tuition
  • Theory assessment, home study and practice on family and friends
  • Please note all assessments must be completed within 3 months
  • Please note courses are non-refundable after course commencement however we are happy to move you to another practical tuition date if you are unable to attend due to sickness or circumstances
  • Theory own pace
  • Practical 6hr face to face
